Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Gate Assist mobile application ("the App"), developed and maintained by Ægir Nordø, based in Norway. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. This includes, but is not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

2. Not a Replacement for Official Systems

Gate Assist is a productivity tool designed to assist airport ground crew with turnaround tracking. It does not replace official airline systems, ground handling software, airport operations platforms, or any certified operational procedures. The App should be used as a supplementary tool only.

3. User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for verifying all operational data, event times, and turnaround information recorded in the App. The accuracy of data entered into the App depends entirely on user input. Always cross-reference with official airline and airport systems before making operational decisions.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

• Missed events or incorrect time recordings
• Operational decisions made based on data in the App
• Loss of data due to device failure, app deletion, or other causes
• Any interruption or unavailability of the App

5. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and code within Gate Assist are the intellectual property of the developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the App without prior written consent.

6. Changes to These Terms

The developer reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

7. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. The developer reserves the right to discontinue the App or restrict access at any time without prior notice.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Norway.
