Gate Assist is a mobile app designed for airport ground crew to manage flight turnarounds. It lets you track flights, log event times (such as chocks on, doors open, boarding start), manage airline-specific defaults, and monitor turnaround progress in real time.
Gate Assist is free to download and use. There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, or hidden fees. All features are available from the start.
Yes. Gate Assist is built offline-first. All data is stored locally on your device using SQLite, so you can use the app without any internet connection — perfect for ramp and gate environments where connectivity can be unreliable.
All your data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. Nothing is ever uploaded to a server, shared with third parties, or transmitted over the internet. Your operational data stays entirely on your phone.
Yes. You can configure the event types that appear during a turnaround to match your airline's or handler's specific workflow. This lets you tailor the app to your exact operational procedures.
Airline defaults let you pre-configure settings for each airline you work with, using their IATA code. This includes default turnaround times, event sequences, and other parameters — so when you start a new flight for that airline, everything is set up automatically.
Yes. Your data persists across app updates. The local SQLite database is preserved when you update Gate Assist through the App Store. You won't lose any of your flights, events, or airline configurations.
To delete a flight, simply swipe left on the flight in the flight list. A delete option will appear. This action is permanent and cannot be undone, so make sure you no longer need the flight data before deleting.
